My new season as a Shropshire wedding photographer, continues with a return to a wonderful wedding venue in Wem, North Shropshire…that of The Old Rectory. A truly lovely old manor house that is run by a small team of dedicated staff that really do help to make the day run smoothly. The bride and groom…Clare and Jonathan, met me at my studio after becoming aware of my work through facebook, which is a fantastic way to stay in touch and keep on top of all my latest work… they were also another of my ever growing “Love Lane” couples when they came to Ellesmere for their pre wedding experience that can be found HERE
Their day was pretty cold with some lying snow that added a little touch of winter…however the day remained dry throughout, which was a real blessing, and we were treated to a beautiful evening sun that simply glowed through the trees basking the whole scene in a glorious golden light. Their ceremony was at a lovely little Church in Chirk and my very first Roman Catholic ceremony. It was a wonderful occasion and one that really took to it’s heart the religious aspects of their wedding day.
As you will see from the pictures I have selected…Clare and Jonathan are a really relaxed and fun couple, they were an absolute pleasure to work with and to be around, friends and relatives had traveled far and wide to be there for them and to join in with their celebrations. For me…it was a truly wonderful and liberating experience working at such a fabulous venue with such a great couple. The day really was special, and I feel honored to have shared it with them. Oh and look out for a very surprised Clare…..her expressions are priceless when she sees her wedding day gift from her new husband….a new car 🙂
