The Wedding Day
My brides mostly choose to either get ready during bridal prep in one of the cottages or down near the entrance to Combermere Abbey at the wonderful Stone Lodge. This is a quaint little self contained unit, small in stature but perfect in it’s charm and atmosphere. A great place to get ready and start your journey to wedding day heaven. Here are a few images I have captured of brides and grooms getting read at Stone Lodge and the aforementioned stable cottages. Truly beautiful settings for any bridal party to stay and get ready for that big day.
Yes I also capture those little moments when the makeup gets applied…those little moments as the hair style becomes a reality, but also those more transient moments that pass in the blink of an eye, ones that need me to be me….watching, observing and anticipating.
These are what makes a wedding day, moments that truly are natural, unstaged and effortless. As a wedding photographer, it’s these authentic and unposed moments that are key parts of the story that I know my wedding clients will love.
To The Wedding Ceremony
As you make your way to the glasshouse you can enjoy the beautiful feature of the wall of trees, that border the path leading from the amazing converted stable cottages that Combermere Abbey offer. This exquisite accommodation for your guests is perfect in every way where crackling fires and plush furnishings make the rooms truly inviting. This part of the day is the most perfect for the nervous bride and allows time to relax and enjoy this special time with her bridal party.
Simply wonderful.
The glass house truly is the most perfect place for any wedding, light and airy with the most gorgeous natural light, here I love how Jade points to Jay’s wedding band, her smile just makes it so perfect a moment, and even though there is such gorgeous light, her smile makes it even more beautiful.
What a stunning place to get married, and I truly am so grateful to all my couples who have invited me along to capture their special days. I cannot wait for my next visit and working alongside all the team there. Here are a few images from various weddings I have had the pleasure of capturing over the years, and some links to more complete weddings. If you would like to know more please get in touch and perhaps we can have a chat about your journey, your plans and your hopes for your own special day at the amazing Combermere Abbey.
