Cool Wedding Day Vibes

What a gorgeous, amazing, perfectly perfect day with these two beauties at Garthmyl Hall. I cannot begin to explain how wonderful my first ever visit to the awesome Garthmyl Hall was. It was just the best day. Cold, wet, overcast but full of fun, happiness and broad smiles.

Garthmyl Hall

Nestled in the rolling hills of midwales, Garthmyl Hall has long been on my radar to nab a wedding at. So when Simon and Gwen asked me to come and grab a few frames there who was I to refuse such a honour and privilege. My first visit was just the most lovely of days, yes it was cold, bitterly so, but these guys just knew how to enjoy their special day. Garthmyl Hall is a beautiful and historic venue in Powys, Wales, perfect for a wedding day. Nestled in the Welsh countryside, the hall offers a romantic and elegant setting with its stunning grounds, grand interiors, and a touch of classic charm.

The venue can accommodate both intimate and larger weddings, with a variety of spaces for your ceremony, reception, and everything in between. The gardens provide a gorgeous backdrop for outdoor photos, even in mid March and especially for the brave !!

Wedding Photographs at Garthmyl Hall

My approach is well documented as “reportage” with a slight creative edge. So taking my eager eye to those lovely grounds at Garthmyl Hall truly was a challenge to relish. Here are a selection of images taken there in my more relaxed and authentic take on wedding photography.

Phil Barrett

Phil Barrett is a seasoned photographer with a rich background in creativity. Starting his journey as an illustrator and designer, Phil's work graced the greeting cards of some of the world's largest producers. After two decades in the industry, a twist of fate led him back to university, where he founded PbArtWorks, initially envisioned as a design and photography agency. However, it was his unique approach to wedding photography, characterized by its natural, unforced essence, that truly resonated. For over a decade, Phil has captured weddings across Shropshire, Cheshire, North Wales, and beyond. Beyond weddings, Phil's passion for photography is evident in his leisurely strolls around his town, capturing its scenic beauty. Whether through pen, brush, camera, or lens, Phil's ultimate goal remains consistent: to create beautiful imagery that brings joy to people. His mantra? "Good enough is never good enough."
