Iscoyd Park Wedding

“Have a lovely day…”

Those very words were on a card sent to Chloe on the morning of her wedding…a day of two celebrations, this was also Chloe’s birthday too…and what a wonderful way for any beautiful young lady to spend her birthday…marrying her best friend.

To be very fair though, I think Chloe and Mike had a more than lovely day…they had a fantastic day. The sun shone the rain stayed away, and Iscoyd Park staff pulled out all the stops to insure it was a smooth and wonderful wedding reception.

I was joined, for the first time, by my good friend and fellow professional photographer, Steve Hale. having Steve along to keep me company was just brilliant, and along with the wonderful videographer lady, we made a nice merry little band of three 🙂

The day started at Chloe’s parental home in nearby (to me) Whittington, before heading into the village for a Church service…the light that came out during the signing of the register was simply “divine” and added a wonderful luminosity to the images I managed to capture there. This gorgeous light then stayed with us….a bit harsh at times…but always “giving”. Especially just as the light started to fade. The colours conjured up by mother nature were just beautiful, and very apt.

After I showed the happy couple their images I received this lovely text message from Chloe

“PHIL!! We cannot begin to thank you enough for what I can only describe as the most perfect summary of our fantastic day. We have been moved to tears by the emotion & imagination in every photo, capturing more than ‘moments’. We may be some time choosing, I want them all!! Thank you again & we will be in touch soon xxx”

It really does make me “jump” a little inside when I get such amazing and honest appraisals of my work. Being an illustrator for over twenty years, art has always been central to my wedding ethos. That along with my “moments” and documentary style, sums up my approach…one which I tend to call…”creative reportage”. So if you are on the look out for a thoroughly creative, artistic and natural photographer for your Iscoyd Park Wedding, please do drop me a line and lets see if we can create some wedding “moments” for you to treasure.

All it leaves me to do now is to thank Chloe and Mike for allowing me to be part of your amazing journey together….here’s to a wonderful future as Husband and Wife.

Wishing you both much love and happiness.
